Aline.
The Chicago Horror Film Festival is run by local filmmaker, Jason
R. Davis. He is a Chicago filmmaker himself and works hard to help other
aspiring filmmakers showcase their work. He works the hardest to show horror
films as they typically are the underappreciated gems in film society.
Thanks to everyone who came out to see Master Ron Fitzgerald at

performed at the Gold Patron Celebrity/Dessert Reception and was at the

"Wizard Battle" was always a working title for John Lechago's
most recient film. It's now named "Magus"
Which is Latin for great Magician. This change also gives Fitzgerald the
title role in this macabre movie! The film is looking great and is well
into post-production.

New Movie Projects on the Horror Horizon for Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald's next film project with director John Lechago will be "Magus"!
It's a horror film about a modern day mad wizard/magician
who's out to destroy others of his kind in a quest to take over as thier
supernatural master. Ron is cast in the lead role (his first) as
the evil wizard, Magus, in what we hope will be a new cult favorite.
"Wizard Battle" was the working title and later changed to "Magus". Shooting
began in September '04 and continued in November with a final round
of pick-ups last spring. We'll keep you posted here in the Realm
on further developments and news. For now here are a few sneak preview
pics from production.
Fitzgerald is the "Magus".

anotherer horror film, as a rather evil plastic surgeon that does a little
'nip/tuck' on a lovely young patient of his, Tiffany, played by actress
Lauren McCarthy. It also stars Mickey Rooney (yes, the famous one) and
scream queen Tina Krause as Lilith. The director is Mark Vadik. This
film is currently in post-production.
Tina Krause, Lauren McCarthy, and Ron Fitzgerald as the evil Doctor
from "The Thirsting".
Ron has also shot an interview and live illusion performance for
an upmoming documentary film, "National Vampire",
that explores Vampire/ Goth Culture in the US. It's an exciting and intriguing
look into this subculture. Fitzgerald has a main interview and also pops
up throughout the film to comment on things ranging form "Buffy" to blood
drinking. It's now completed and headed for the festival circut. For more

gnomes!!

on!
See below for more detais.
The Terror of "BLOOD GNOME"
One of Fitzgerald's most receint projects is "BLOOD
GNOME". Directed by John Lechago, this independant horror film is about,
yes, Blood Gnomes! These nasty, ancient creatures love blood as much as
any vampire and will do anything for it. They are particularly fond of
witchcraft, nudity and ritual bloodletting. (Sounds kinky to us, but so
do all of Ron's film projects!) Fitzgerald plays the Dungeon Master and
puppeteered the "gnomes" in several scene. It also stars Troma scream queen
Julie Strain and lucious newcomers, the Porcelian Twinz. "BLOOD GNOME"
should be out sometime later in the year. The Realm will tell you when
and where. For now here are some pics!
